We are proud to announce delivery of our long awaited Ward Enterprises Racing dynamometer for HO scale slot cars.
This dyno unit is the end result of months of development by the original designer and respresents a great combination of accurate measurement, compact size and rugged construction.
Special attention was given to provide platform that would allow magnet cars to "pull down" on the roller platform to simulate conditions seen on track. This is an important feature of our dyno not found in other units and results in a more accurate and repeatable measurement for magnet cars.
Dynamometer features 4 digit measurement for power output ("dyno number") as well as motor amp draw and voltage input (via separate power supply readout). Using the "dyno number" allows HO slot car builders and racers to measure the results of changes made to the chassis...exactly what is needed to create the fastest car possible on race day.
Speaking of race day, our dyno is unique in that is can be powered by the included AC power supply to be plugged into a 120V recepticle, or when power outlet is not available it can be powered by the two internal 9V batteries that deliver approximately 18 volts. This is particularly useful on race day where you may not have access to a 120 volt outlet.
Dyno measures 3.5" x 4.5" x 1.5" tall. Won't take up much space on your home workbench, and compact size easily fits in your pit box for transportation on race day.
Tested extensively with everything from stock Aurora T-Jets to HOPRA Modified cars and everything in between: TFX, Magnatraction, Fray Race Cars, Spec Racers, Super Stock, Fusion, Ghost Car, Auto World ThunderJet, XTraction, Four Gear, Super III, 440x2, Hardin Creek Super 7 and a host of other car brands were tested during development. (Please note cars need to have guide pins installed....slot cars with guide flags will not fit on the dyno).
The WER dyno comes complete full instructions and suggestions for use, along with a 2 amp variable power supply as shown in the listing photo. Unit also includes two installed 9 volt batteries. The 9 volt batteries are easily changed by the owner when needed.
Please note the "flickering" in videos attached to this listing is due to listing photography...the actual units DO NOT flicker and the readout is constant.
